Established in 1988 by John Owen, John Owen Travel quickly became Swindon' s leading travel agent specialising in long haul and tailor-made holidays.

John Owen Travel is recognised as Investors in People and were awarded the ABTA Gold Training Award since 1998. These awards recognise the high
standards of investment and training in the people helping you.

John Owen Travel is the only Travel Agency to win the coveted 'Best UK Retail
Travel Agency Award' for two consecutive years (1999 & 2000) at the Canada Travel Awards in recognition of exceptional knowledge of Canada and high level of customer service.

John Owen took well-earned retirement in December 2001 and John's fine work has been taken over by Richard Hobden. Richard has continued the strategy of investment in training and customer service. There is also an acknowledgement that the needs of the travelling public are ever changing and that John Owen Travel must continue to offer innovative new services and source exciting new products for our clients, continue to recruit the best team members available and deliver the training to help them reach their full potential and offer you the best service.
